Books I'm reading #
Advanced Web Application Architecture by Matthias Noback. I'm stuck after the first chapter. I've heard some great reviews, so I'll probably give it a couple of more chapters before I make up my mind about it.
Books I've read #
Chip War: The Fight for the World's Most Critical Technology by Chris Miller.
It's an interesting, but shallow read. At least I learned a little bit about Soviet chips and what fabless means, but not a lot more. It's still interesting, especially if you don't know much about chips.
I thought about the talk: Web Design: The First 100 Years by Maciej Cegłowski where he talks about planes and "good enough" technologies while reading about how hard it is to introduce a new technology like EUV and make it profitable.
The System: Who Rigged It, How We Fix It by Robert B. Reich.
It was a good read. Makes you cynical about the state of the world. I've been following his YouTube channel so the book felt repetitive, but I can still recommend it.
