Ice by Jacek Dukaj
Lód (Ice) is my first novel from Jacek Dukaj. I must say that this is huge and it make big impression on me. I'm looking into wikipedia article right now and I can say that it suits book. What I can add from myself is that book is written with archaic polish mixed with Russian. It's really hard to read and if you add to it that it's more than 1 thousand pages it took me reallllly long to read. I can say it was time well spent :)
At first I felt that book has a really long introduction, beginning but it's much more important than I felt. If you're going to read it don't read too fast through first chapters.
